INGREDIENTES

  • 1 kg de castanhas
  • 4 colheres de sopa de sal grosso
  • qb de alecrim (opcional)
  • qb de erva doce (opcional)

PREPARAÇÃO

  • Comece por lavar bem as castanhas.
  • Faça um corte horizontal em cada uma com uma faca (não precisa de ser muito fundo).
  • Coloque-as de molho em água durante 20 minutos (assim, serão mais fáceis de descascar).
  • Leve ao forno, pré-aquecido a 200ºC, durante 40 minutos. Agite o tabuleiro a meio da assadura.
  • Depois de retirar do forno, coloque-as num alguidar e tape com um pano. Deixe repousar durante 10 minutos.
  • Descasque-as ainda quentes.

DICAS

  • Assim que as retirar do pano, as castanhas assadas estarão prontas a ser servidas.
  • Pode temperá-las com alecrim ou erva doce ainda antes de as levar ao forno.
  • Apesar de a receita mencionar 40 minutos como o tempo ideal para assar as castanhas, pode variar consoante o tamanho destas ou a potência do forno. Vá vigiando e retire-as quando a casca abrir.
  • Se tiver dúvidas, pode abrir o forno, retirar uma castanha e prová-la para confirmar se já está assada o suficiente.
  • Se for do seu agrado, pode comer as castanhas com um pouco de manteiga.
